HERE’S WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID ABOUT CREATURE LAW:
“A collage of teeming ideas: odd rhythms, dissonant riffs, unexpected harmonies, and a textural approach that constantly takes us off the beaten track. The guitar, alternately melodic and dissonant, sometimes recalls the mathematical absurdity of Zappa’s compositions, while the rhythmic structures evoke the hypnotic strangeness of King Crimson’s albums. Some of the overlays could almost come from Primus’ discography, with their destabilizing groove and central presence. Yet, despite these obvious references, The Animal Objective never falls into simple imitation: the group takes these elements and integrates them into its own language, often enigmatic but always captivating…. Bold and mastered… Each track is a surprise, each detail is neat, and the whole resonates like a complete work of art… The Animal Objective proves with Creature Law that it is possible to create complex music while remaining accessible, without ever sacrificing originality on the altar of simplicity. A work to discover urgently, and to savor without moderation.”
“The Animal Objective cast the first stone in the rock revolution that the airwaves have been crying out for with their debut EP…pulling the amplified and overdriven roots of rock into frenetically electric obscurity…If it’s been a while since your mind was sonically fucked and demanded a cigarette afterwards, hit play and prepare yourself for the psychedelic climax that allows you to imagine what Soul Asylum would have sounded like if they’d brought an arsenal of acid and some Mike Patton influence into the studio.“
“…wonderfully chaotic, a bit surreal, effectively noisy and has a will to change directions at the drop of a hat…Milky Sand And Soil is awesome, slightly Cardiacs, slightly Masters Of Reality…Sublime is slightly more Psych…it just rattles your very soul and cannot resist falling into something King Crimson 80s like…This is an album that won’t be for all, but if you have an open mind, you will be surprised by how it grabs you…I absolutely adore it.“
“A jumpy, creative rock sound excels throughout Creature Law…Lyrical surrealism pairs with angular guitar work and delightfully unpredictable song structures, making for an exciting listening experience…firmly showcasing the band’s knack for diverse tonal explorations and satiating structural rises/falls…The EP doesn’t let up in creativity…mixture of bursting prog-rock charisma.“
“Eccentrics are not yet outlawed, and this is precisely why The Animal Objective feel it is their duty to jump out from under the curtains and yell ‘Boo!’…This is rock music made in a harlequin outfit in a world of gray uniforms…There’s a world beyond the gray asylum of pop culture. The Animal Objective is living free and embracing as much weirdness as its members want.“
“Sitting somewhere between the unpredictable energy of Devo and the more rumbustious moments of Primus, their sound has this wonderfully inventive appeal to it, something that is extremely rare for a band looking to make their first moves on the scene…It may be their only release to date, but ‘Creature Law’ is certainly looking to leave a lasting impression with anyone who comes across it. Completely unforgettable and irreverent throughout, The Animal Objective are certainly ones to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead.“
“The Animal Objective’s music is a journey into surrealism, blending alternative rock with a touch of psychedelia and a heavy dose of creativity. Sublime is a standout track that encapsulates their unconventional yet compelling sound.“
“(Creature Law) highlights their skill in blending diverse influences into a unified and captivating piece of art…a daring, five-track exploration that defies traditional genre limits…laden with abstract rhythms, slick guitar riffs, and outside-of-the-box sound design…complex arrangements and an element of unpredictability that encourages repeated listening…a listening experience that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally engaging…The strength of, “Creature Law”, lies not only in its diversity but in the meticulous execution of its ideas. Every element feels deliberate, from the interwoven rhythms to the balance between dissonance and melody. The EP captures a sense of playful experimentation while remaining anchored in the band’s overarching vision. As a complete work, it resonates with the thematic and musical cohesion that many artists only achieve after years of refinement…”Creature Law”, is an impressive debut from a fresh-faced group that is sure to defy expectations…this record is worth your time.“
“The Creature Law EP is abundant with ideas; it’s super creative and completely explosive in the current landscape. Work of this quality can’t remain so confidential for much longer.”

THE ANIMAL OBJECTIVE LIVE
Onstage, The Animal Objective’s dynamic and colourful, semi-theatrical shows – occasionally performed alongside exhibitions of Tim’s artwork – are a captivating mix of musical creativity and raw punk-like energy.
“A musical universe à la Franck Zappa transposing several influences through the fusion of genres, from abrupt, categorical transitions to dizzying, energizing & flourishing flights of musical creativity.”
Philippe Meignan (Journalist and Photographer at Azimut-Prod-Photos, France)
“Born from the fertile imagination of the guitarist-singer and illustrator Tim Naish, whose visual universe resonates with the unique, strange and abundant compositions. The music swirls, like an out of control merry-go-round, surreal blues, psyche hallucinations and acidic prog rock. Head spinning!”
TRANZISTOR (Cultural Information in Mayenne, France)
“The bass-drums-guitars-vocals quartet, costumed in psyche mode, masterfully assumes its baroque extravagance. All in ruptures and gear changes, perfectly mastered despite its sometimes erratic appearances, their cubic music plays the surprise, never predictable, always singular.”
